To make sure Transmatter Gates facilities run smoothly, a dispatcher is assigned to each one. The dispatcher is in charge of quickly mitigating issues with the gates and any object that comes through it. Despite his objections, the Legion of Superheroes utilized the gates to find a cure for Brainiac 5 he allowed them to travel to Zuun. A mistake with the gate transported Brainiac 5's body to Diaphus 3, he tracked the signal there allowing the Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl to follow.
