Infectious Lass aka Drura Sehpt was born on Somahtur, a world where humanoids serve as hosts for colonies of bacteria. After centuries of symbiosis, the Somahturians were immune to the bacteria but were able to easily infect outsiders. Sehpt was taken by the United Planets to Medicus One to be studied. She soon left after hearing about the exploits of the Legion of Superheroes.
She applied for membership in the Legion as Infectious Lass. However, she was rejected because she had no control over her power, which was a danger to allies and enemies alike. She was also asthmatic and prone to chronic congestion.
The Legion of Superheroes made an arrangement for them to handle cases they were to busy to deal with and gave them Flight Rings. During universal threats, the Substitutes arrived to help, including the Sun-Eater and Brainiac 1.0 cases.
Powers[]
When Infectious Lass first applied, she showed limited control of her abilities. She is immune to all known diseases, native or alien in origin, but can spread disease easily. Unfortunately it took years to learn to control this ability and she could be a danger to her teammates just from being in her proximity.
Equipment[]
- Legion Flight Ring: Like all Legionaries Infectious Lass wears a flight ring. It allows her self propelled flight and protection in the vacuum of space.
