Gen'ma is a Green Lantern who works alongside Jordana Gardner. At some point, she along with a large number of Green Lanterns are possessed by the parasitic starfish villain, Starro, who uses a multitude of his starfish-like spores to mind control them. Controlled by Starro, the controlled Lanterns attack the City of New Metropolis on Earth, and came into conflict with the Legion of Super-Heroes. One of the legion, Saturn Girl, learned via her telepathic powers that Jordana and the other Corps. members are being controlled, and Superman uses his heat vision to burn the parasite off of Jordana's face. The controlling progenitor was defeated by Bouncing Boy, who rammed it with a Legion Cruiser. The parasites were destroyed, and the Corps. released
